PADI Discover Scuba Diving

At Splash Dive Center, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience offers an exciting introduction to the underwater world. Led by certified instructors, participants receive thorough instruction in scuba equipment usage and basic dive theory before immersing themselves in a confined water dive session and an open water dive. If participants enjoy the experience, they can apply it toward the PADI Open Water Diver course, continuing their journey into the world of scuba diving.

Learn To:

Use scuba gear.
Use hand signs to communicate.
Perform basic scuba skills.

Pre Requisite:

Able to swim.
Minimum 10 years and older.
2-3 hours of class.
Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.

What To Expect

Day 1

Welcome and orientation to the program, including a safety briefing and completion of necessary paperwork.
Introduction to scuba diving equipment, its function, and proper use.
Overview of basic dive theory concepts such as buoyancy control, equalization, and underwater communication.

Confined Water Experience

Transfer to a pool or shallow water environment for a confined water dive session.
Demonstration and practice of fundamental scuba skills under the guidance of a certified PADI instructor.
Opportunity for participants to become comfortable breathing underwater and explore the sensation of weightlessness.

Open Water Dive

Transfer to a nearby dive site for an open water dive experience.
Briefing on the dive site, safety procedures, and expected marine life.
Guided dive with the instructor, allowing participants to explore the underwater environment and observe marine life in its natural habitat.

Conclusion and Debriefing

Return to the dive center for debriefing and discussion of the diving experience.
Opportunity for participants to ask questions, share feedback, and express interest in further scuba diving training.
Provision of PADI Discover Scuba Diving certificates or recognition materials to commemorate the experience.

Throughout the Discover Scuba Diving program, participants will receive personalized attention and guidance from experienced instructors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable introduction to the underwater world of scuba diving.
