PADI Rescue Diver Course 

Enroll in the Rescue Diver Course and experience a transformative shift in your diving approach – for the better. Acquire the skills to detect and address minor concerns before they escalate, boost your self-assurance, and embark on an exhilarating journey of discovery.

Learn To:

​

  • Help other divers in emergency.

  • Fix minor gear issues.

  • Use an emergency oxygen kit.

  • Refresh CPR.

​

Pre Requisite:

​

  • Advance Open Water Diver.

  • EFR Certified.

  • 4 - 7 days of class.

  • 12 years or older.

  • Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months.

Day 1-2: Orientation and Dive Theory

​

  • Introduction to the course, PADI standards, and requirements.

  • Dive theory sessions covering dive emergencies, accident management, and rescue techniques.

  • Review of dive equipment and its use in rescue scenarios.

​

Day 3-4: Skill Development and Scenarios

​

  • Skill circuit practice including self-rescue techniques, assisting panicked divers, and managing unresponsive divers at the surface and underwater.

  • Role-playing scenarios to simulate dive emergencies such as tired diver, lost diver, and panicked diver.

  • Dive planning workshop focusing on risk assessment and emergency procedures.

Day 5-6: Practical Scenarios and Assessments

​

  • Conducting realistic rescue scenarios in open water, integrating previously learned skills.

  • Practice in search patterns, underwater navigation, and managing multiple divers in distress.

  • Final practical assessments to demonstrate competency in rescue skills and emergency response.

Day 7: Certification and Conclusion

​

  • Certification ceremony marking the completion of the PADI Rescue Diver course.

  • Feedback session with instructors to discuss strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Celebration of achievements and discussion of further training opportunities.

​

Throughout the course, students will receive guidance and feedback from experienced instructors, as well as opportunities for self-directed study and reflection to enhance their knowledge and skills in dive rescue techniques and emergency management.
